Shanghai brand tractor is originated from Shanghai Tractor Manufacturing Plant,  which was established in year 1958, The SH-50 series Shanghai tractor won great recognation and reputation in domestic and overseas markets.

In year 1990, SH-504 tractor attended the Australian International Tractor Rally and won the champion, This caused great sensation in worldwide range. Later, numerous experts, scholars and tractor dealers came to Shanghai Tractor Manufacturing Plants for visit and business negotiation.

In year 1993, there were 2000 units of SH504 tractors exported to Peru. On 12th, June of year 1994, the by-then Peru President Alberto Kenya Fujimori Fujimori paid formal visit to Shanghai Tractor Manufacturing Plant and placed an order of 1100 units SH504 tractors. These made Shanghai brand a household name in Peru market.

Now, Shanghai Tractor has made a strong comeback, together with the advanced production and testing equipments, stable quality and timely after-sales services. It has formed a production structure of small, medium and large sizes wheeled tractors, horsepower ranging from 30 to 260 hp. Shanghai tractors have been exported to South America, Africa, Southeast Asia, and Eastern Europe markets till today, and it will be exported to more markets in the soon future.
